Myanmar earned over US$ 2.713 billion from export and US$ 2.615 billion for imports is recorded from 1 October to 10 December, resulting in Myanmar foreign trade value reaching over US$ 5.328 billion. Myanmar primarily exports agro-products, animal products, fishery products, mining products, forestry products, cutting making packing (CMP) and other products to foreign countries, and mainly imports capital goods, industrial raw materials, consumer goods from foreign countries.
Myanmar has been implementing the National Export Strategy for export development and the major sectors of priority over National Export Strategy 2020-2025 includes agricultural products sector, consumer goods sector, textile and apparel sector, electrical machinery sector, fisheries sector, forestry sector, digital products and services sector, logistics services sector, quality management sector and trade information services sector as well as innovation and entrepreneurship sector.
