COVID-19 prevention, control and treatment activities such as opening quarantine centres and vaccinating people against COVID-19 continue in respective regions and states.
· The vaccination processes continue in respective regions and states as per the priority programme, and a total of 275 people have been vaccinated against COVID-19 as third dose, a total of 158,987 people have been vaccinated against COVID-19 as second dose and 59,439 people as first dose on 11 January.
· A total of 6,274 students aged 12 years and above from Basic Education Middle and High schools in respective regions and states have been vaccinated against COVID-19 as second dose and 2,130 students as first dose on 11 January. A total of 1,516,718 students have been vaccinated against COVID-19 till 11 January 2022.
· On 11 January, COVID-19 vaccines were distributed to Kalay and Monywa townships by Tatmadaw Aircrafts.
The Ministry of Health is conducting COVID-19 tests regularly, 235 new cases of COVID-19 were found from testing a total of 12,542 samples and the infected rates are 1.87 percent on 11 January. Until 11 January 2022, a total of 532,402 cases were found from testing a total of 6,153,150 samples and death toll reached 19,295.
