Chairman of State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing Inspects Development Undertakings in Loimwe Region, Shan State (East)

Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, together with his wife Daw Kyu Kyu Hla, Council Joint Secretary General Ye Win Oo and his wife, as well as the entourages and officials,               inspected development undertakings in Loimwe region of Shan State (East) on 25 May. During the inspection tour:

  • The Senior General arrived at the project for upgrade of Kengtung-Loimwe road and gave guidance to systematically carry out long-term existence of Kengtung-Loimwe road and other instructions.
  • He arrived at the Loimwe Lake and gave instructions to the officials: to supply sufficient water to Kengtung and Loimwe regions; to conserve the forest in the watershed area by protecting the trees from being cut and to reclaim highland farmlands as slashing and burning farming can deplete trees. He added that relevant experts and departmental officials need to do field work for laying pipe-lines to supply spring water to the people.
  • He also arrived at the 107-year-old Hospital in Loimwe, viewed round the hospital and gave instructions to officials for upgrade of the hospital.
  • He then proceeded to the 100- year-old historic house where he inspected maintenance of the house and gave guidance to officials to repair the household articles in their original state, and display necessary household furniture in the original state.

Next, the Senior General, his wife and party paid homage to Caturattha Sumangala Pagoda and went round the pagoda. He then gave guidance on maintenance of the pagoda for long-term existence to officials and made cash donations and offerings to the hilly missionary Sayadaw Bhaddanta Vepulla, it is reported.
