The Government has been conducting the prevailing of peace and stability and rule of law of the State. As such, the security forces make investigation in progress according to a tip-off that greedy persons in collaboration with defectors supporting terrorism were conducting online scams and unlawful activities. In this regard,Phyu Phyu Hnin, who ran Treasure Hnin Online Shop, a resident in front of Aung Nan Yeik Tha of Chanayethazan Township in Mandalay Region, was arrested on13 April, while Bhone Myint Aung, a resident in Dagon Myothit (South) Township in Yangon Region, was arrested on 8 May.
According to confessions of arrested offenders and their interrogation results:
- Cases were opened against these two offenders under Penal Code Section 505-a as they persuaded the government employees to join the Disloyalty Civil Servant (DCS) and created posts on social media to affect the State’s stability and initiate the unrest. They also distributed foreign products illegally sent by a vocalist, Chan Mya Nyein (aka) Chan Chan (fugitive), who are evading the capture by criminal code 505 (a), collected the bills and provided finance to terrorist groups in line with the desire of the vocalist.
- Chan Mya Nyein (aka) vocalist Chan Chan established the Facebook page named Shop Me in February 2025 and sold the accessories such as handbags, watches, belts and clothes online without a license, distributed these items to the country illegally, used the income for her own sake and provided some income to terrorist groups.
Similarly, actions are being taken against those who connect or buy or support these two methods with those who operate online sales to support the NUG and PDF terrorist groups like Eaint Poe Ou, owner of social media account named Pencilo, Irene, owner of social media account named Ma Irene, Thin Thin Nwe, owner of social media account named Shwe Nadi, Zune Nilar Htay, owner of social media account named Zune Nilar Htay, Aung Thaw, owner of social media account named Aung Thaw, DCS Sayama Khaing Su Lwin, owner of social media account named Khaing Su Lwin account, Htet Ni Ni Than, owner of social media account named P&H Fashion and Chan Mya Mya Thaw, owner of social media account named Tr. Chan Chan, under the Counter Terrorism Law.
Although the Government makes efforts to promote State stability and development, NUG and PDF terrorists commit explosions to impose fear among the public, and some supporters of terrorists and defectors earn money through unlawful businesses to support terrorist groups. Therefore, people who connect with them, buy products, resell or support them to do so will face legal action under the Counter Terrorism Law.Regarding unlawful online sellers and buyers through online platforms who intend to support terrorists, and actions will be taken against those who run illegal online sales on social media, reports say.
