The Myanmar Government is swiftly investigating the damage in the earthquake-affected areas and providing timely assistance and rescue operations. Likewise, foreign countries have provided humanitarian aid and medical supplies together with rescue teams, medical teams with doctors and nurses day by day:
- A total of 3.918 tonnes of humanitarian aid includingtowels, toothpaste, toothbrushes, blankets, mosquito nets, bedding, solar lanterns donated by Malaysia-based Fo Guang Shani Bussha’s Light International Association Yayasan Sin Chew, arrived at Yangon International Airport between 7 pm on 28 April and 5 pm on 29 April.
- A total of 2.185 tonnes of medical supplies donated by China-Myanmar Economic Cooperation and Development Promotion Association, and 5.547 tonnes of humanitarian aid including mosquito nets and bedding donated by China-based Buddhist Tzu Chi Charity Foundation arrived at Yangon International Airport between 7 pm on 28 April and 5 pm on 29 April.
- A total of 0.49 tonnes of Tetanus Diphtheria (TD) and Meases-Rubella vaccinesdonated by the Serum Institute of India Pvt Ltd. arrived at Yangon International Airport between 7 pm on 28 April and 5 pm on 29 April.
- A total of 10 wooden crates of tarpaulin tents weighing 7.636 tonnes, along with a further 2.349 tonnes of tarpaulin tents, donated by the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA), arrived at Yangon International Airport between 7 pm on 28 April and 5 pm on 29 April.
Domestic donors and charitable individuals have been providing monetary and material donations to the people affected by the earthquake. Similarly, foreign countries, organizations, and donors have also been contributing funds and relief supplies. Both domestic and international donors' relief supplies are being distributed as quickly as possible to the earthquake-affected people, it is reported.
