The Tatmadaw Sea-going Mobile Hospital Vessel (Thanlwin) carrying the Tatmadaw Mobile medical teams which comprise specialists, medical officers and nurses provided the following healthcare services to local residents living in the Yangon and Ayeyawady Regions:
- Between 2 and 3 February, the mobile medical teams provided healthcare services to 1,232 local residents living in Haingyikyun and nearby villages, Ayeyawady Region.
- On 4 February, the mobile medical teams provided healthcare services to 559 locals living in Chaungwa Village of Ngaputaw Township and nearby villages, Ayeayawady Region.
The mobile medical teams onboard provided healthcare services to 1,791 local residents: general health care for 355 patients, surgical treatment for 139 patients, obstetric and gynaecologic care for 90 patients, paediatric treatment for 113 patients, orthopedic treatment for 329 patients, ENT care for 116 patients, eye care for 438 patients and dental care for 211 patients. They also conducted general surgery for 20 patients and eye surgery for 70 patients. Moreover, they also carried out X-ray scans for 137 patients, laboratory tests for 180 patients, ultrasound scan for 157 patients and ECG scans for 217 patients.
The 62 patients who need to hospitalize were transported to the nearest hospitals for medial treatment. Furthermore, the pregnant woman living in Maungpa Village of Hainggyikyun was successfully delivered of a baby by Caesarean on 2 February onboard. An official representative from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Navy) provided cash assistance and gifts for the new-born baby, it is reported.
