The ceremony marking the 77th Anniversary Kachin State Day which falls on 10 January 2025 was organized on the lawn at the frontage of the Kachin State government office. SAC Member Deputy Prime Minister and Union Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office Admiral Tin Aung San and Union Ministers attended the ceremony.
- The Deputy Prime Minister and Union Minister, the SAC Member, Union Ministers, State Chief Minister, Commander of Northern Command, Deputy Minister, Chief Justice of Kachin state High Court, Kachin State Ministers and their wives, Chief Legal Officer, departmental officials, members of peace building committee, six Kachin ethnic groups, five Shan ethnic groups and Bamar ethnic traditional culture groups, staff from various departments, trainees from Education colleges and Nursing Training Institutions and students from the Border Area Ethnic Youth Development Schools participated in the event with Manaw dance, under the lead of the leaders of the Manaw Dance (Nau Shawng), as an expression for the unity of all ethnic groups.
- They observed the local agricultural products, goods, instant foods, traditional clothing, bamboo and cane products, and cultural and educational galleries.
- At the awarding ceremony of the horticultural show, the Admiral and party presented certificates in honour and honorary cashes to winners of first prize, second prize, third prize and consolation prize in fruit and vegetable competitions.
- The Admiral first read out the message sent by State Administration Council Chairman Prime Minister Senior General Thadoe Maha Thray Sithu Thadoe Thiri Thudhamma Min Aung Hlaing to the 77th Kachin State Day celebration. State Chief Minister U Khet Htein Nan then extended greetings.
- Union Minister for Border Affairs Lt-Gen Tun Tun Naung donated 150 sets of panels with 120-watt solar home systems to the Kachin State Security and Border Affairs minister.
- Union Minister for Information U Maung Maung Ohn donated 50 MRTV DTHs and 50 DVB T2 Set Top Boxes for the state government and 30 MRTV DTHs and 50 DVB T2 Set Top Boxes for families of Northern Command.
- Moreover, Deputy Prime Minister and Union Minister, the SAC member, Union Ministers and deputy ministers attended the awarding ceremony to present certificate in honour, honorary prizes and record certificate in honour to the outstanding person for their efforts in state development measures and sector-wise activities at the township stadium in Myitkyina, commemorating the 77th Anniversary of Kachin State Day.
They then proceeded to inaugurate the Ayeyawady Resort and the first phase of the Kachin State Cultural Museum in Ayeyar Ward, Myitkyina, marking the 77th Anniversary Kachin State Day, it is reported.
