The opening ceremony of Military Music Exchange 2024 took place on 19 December at the Imperial Citadel of Thang Long in Hanoi, Vietnam. General Nguyen Tan Cuong of the Vietnam People’s Army made an opening speech. The Myanmar military band attended the event with 11 bands from China, Cambodia, Laos, Malaysia and Vietnam.
Then, the Myanmar military band performed Aung Lan Wai Wai (army, navy, and air), Aung Lan Hlwint Mae Doh Tatmadaw, Myanmar Pyi Thar, A Song for Unity, The Ballad of Ho Chi Minh Hat Mai Khuc Quan Hanh and Hat Mai Khuc Wuan Hanh songs at Fort Imperial Citadel of Thang Long on 19 December, at the Vietnam Defence Expo 2024 held at Gai Lam Airport in Long Bein District, together with five international military music troops and six military bands of Vietnam on 20 December, and at the closing event of the Military Music Exchange 2024 held at the Military History Museum on 22 December.
The military band which participated in the Military Music Exchange 2024 arrived back in Nay Pyi Taw Airport of Myanmar on 23 December, it is reported.
