A total of 2.716 doses of polio vaccine (bOPV) worth Indonesian Rupiah 8.7 billion donated by the Indonesian government to Myanmar arrived at Yangon International Airport on 20 December. Indonesian officials handed over polio vaccines to relevant officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Myanmar. The vaccines were transported to central cold storage facility (Yangon).
These polio vaccines will be used in various immunization programmes: routine immunization program; supplementary immunization program; and national vaccination day program to be launched for children requiring additional vaccination by the Public Health Department of the Ministry of Health while implementing polio-free activities in Myanmar.
