Chairman of the State Administration Council (SAC) Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Thadoe Maha Thray Sithu Thadoe Thiri Thudhamma Min Aung Hlaing delivered a speech at the Passing-out Parade of the 25th Intake of Defence Services Medical Academy (DSMA) which was held at the parade ground of DSMA in Yangon on 18 December.
First, the Senior General took the salute of the cadet companies and inspected the cadet companies. After that, the cadet companies saluted the Senior General with slow-march past and quick-march past.
Next, the Senior General presented awards to the outstanding cadets of the 25th Intake of DSMA, respectively. He then delivered a graduation speech. The Senior General met the outstanding cadets and their parents, and spoke words of honour to them at the parlour of the DSMA Headquarters. In his speech, the Senior General said that:
- The outstanding cadets need to pursue their efforts and keep control themselves in order not to lose the goals as higher life status will be achieved only if they make utmost efforts.
- The outstanding cadets need to remember parents and mentors, who looked after and teach them until they reach university life since childhood, with great gratitude and to be grateful to them. Likewise, they are required to be grateful to faculty members of DSMA, the Tatmadaw and the State by behaving like a good committed soldier as well as a doctor and fulfilling duties given loyally.
In the evening, the Senior General attended the graduation dinner to honour the 25th Intake of DSMA at the hall of the DSMA convocation hall in Yangon. The Senior General had dinner together with the graduate officers and dignitaries.
Later, the Senior General and party together with graduate officers enjoyed the song entertainment performed by the military band of DSMA and Myawady Band Troupe under the Directorate of Public Relations and Psychological Warfare. The Senior General then presented awards to those in entertainment.
Also present at the events together with the SAC Chairman Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services were Daw Kyu Kyu Hla, wife of the Senior General, Chief of the General Staff (Army, Navy and Air) General Thiri Pyanchi Sithu Maung Maung Aye and wife, Commander-in-Chief (Navy) Admiral Zeya Kyawhtin Htein Win and wife, Commander-in-Chief (Air) General Zeya Kyawhtin Sithu Tun Aung and wife, senior military officers from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief and wives, union ministers, the Yangon Region chief minister and wife, the Yangon Command commander, the DSMA commandant, officials from Mingaladon Station, families and relatives of cadets and invited guests, it is reported.
