Myanmar Air Force Organizes Ceremonies of Military Parade, Listening to Paritta Sermon and Offering Alms to Monks to Mark the 77th Founding Anniversary

A military parade in honour of the 77th Founding Anniversary of Myanmar Air Force was held at the Flying Training Base in Meiktila on 15 December. Commander-in-Chief (Air) General Tun Aung, Chief of Staff (Air) Lt-Gen Zaw Win Myint, retired Commanders-in-Chief (Air), Air Base HQs commanders, Air Base commanders, officials, officers and other ranks from Meiktila Station and invitees attended the ceremony.

First, the military parade was held as planned, with saluting the national flag and all fallen soldiers as well as taking four oaths. Then, the Commander-in-Chief (Air) inspected the parade companies and delivered a speech to mark the 77th Anniversary of Myanmar Air Force.

Similarly, listening to Paritta sermon ceremony plus alms offering ceremony were held at the Aircraft Production and Repair Base. The Commander-in-Chief (Air) and those present at the ceremony received the Five Precepts from the Sayadaw of member of the Sangha Maha Nayaka Committee, Agga Maha Kammatthanacariya Sayadaw, Thaekone monastery in Meiktila Township and then listened to the sermons delivered by the Venerable Sayadaw. After that, they donated offertories to the monks, it is reported.
