Delegation led by Deputy Commandant of Naval War College of India Pays a Study Tour to Significant Places in Myanmar

A delegation of senior officers led by Deputy Commandant of Naval War College (NWC) of India, Commodore Prashant Chandrasekharan arrived in Myanmar on 2 December on a study tour. During the visit to Myanmar:

  • On 3 December, the Indian delegation led by Deputy Commandant paid visit to the India Centre in Yangon and met with staff from the Indian Embassy to Myanmar.
  • On 4 December, they met with officials from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Navy) and the Office of the Chief of Armed Forces Training. Additionally, they toured significant sites such as the Defence Services Museum in Nay Pyi Taw, the National Defence College, the Myanmar Gems Museum (Nay Pyi Taw), the Uppatasanti Pagoda, and the Maravijaya Buddha Image.
  • On 5 December, the delegation visited the Bagan Ancient Cultural Zone exploring the historic city of Bagan and the Bagan Cultural Museum.
  • On 6 and 7 December, they visited the Shwedagon Pagoda for observation and reverence, aswell as a study tour to the naval vessel Mayu.

The Indian delegation departed for India from the Yangon International Airport on 8 December, reports say.
