Deputy Prime Minister Union Minister for Foreign Affairs U Than Swe and Union Minister for Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement Dr. Soe Win received Indian Ambassador to Myanmar H.E. Mr.Abhay Thakur at the respective ministries on 5 December.
- During the meeting between the Deputy Prime Minister Union Minister for Foreign Affairs and the Indian Ambassador to Myanmar, they engaged in a cordial and constructive exchange of views on strengthening the traditional bonds of friendship between the two countries through the existing bilateral mechanisms across various sectors of common interests, and further cooperation on regional and international matters of mutual interests.
- During the meeting between the Deputy Prime Minister Union Minister for Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement, and the Indian Ambassador to Myanmar, both sides exchanged views on the current situation of development projects in Rakhine State under the MoU between Myanmar and India.
Also present were deputy ministers, directors-general and relevant officials, it is reported.
