The Myanmar military shooting team that participated in competitions at the 32nd ASEAN Armies Rifle Meet (32nd AARM), held in the Philippines from 12 to 23 November, arrived back in Nay Pyi Taw, where they were welcomed back at the airport by Lt-Gen Htein Win of the Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army), and senior military officers on 23 November.
The Myanmar team comprised 42 members, including administrators, coaches, and athletes. They competed in events for men’s and women’s pistol teams, men’s carbine, men’s rifle, and men’s machine gun teams. The team excelled in individual competitions, earning one silver and six bronze medals. This remarkable performance brought their total medal tally to five gold, four silver, and seven bronze medals in team competition, placing Myanmar third among participating nations, it is reported.
