On 18 November, security personnel received information about the arrival of deceased and injured people to Mandalay Public Hospital in Chanayethazan Township of Mandalay Region. Acting on the tip-off, security personnel arrived at the scene and investigated the incident in which PDF terrorists launched a drone attack against the “Ngwe Ou Mann” passenger bus, which left Katha for Mandalay, at the location near Pay Gyi village of Kantbalu Township. The bombs dropped from the drone exploded near the vehicle killed Ma Eindra Moe of 4, and injured Daw Khin Htay of 57, Daw Nyein Sabei of 30, Daw Yin Htwe of 33 and Mg Thiha Naing of 3 due to pieces of shrapnel.
Terrorists have been creating battles in towns, wards and villages where peaceable innocent civilians live, launching shell attacks, electrically-initiated rockets and drone attacks against passenger buses that killed and injured the innocent people. Thus, local residents cannot tolerate, oppose and condemn such terrorist attacks. Again, security forces joining hands with the people have stepped up security measures, reports say.
