Passing out Parade of Monsoon Military Training Program for UTC Volunteer Faculty Members and Students held for Academic Year of 2023-2024

The University Training Corps of the Directorate of People’s Militia and Border Guard Force of the office of Commander-in-Chief (Army) conducted training for volunteer students and faculty members of the University Training Corps (UTC). The first-year basic military training, second-year basic military training, and first-year advanced training have been conducted since 1st of October. On 4 November, the passing out parades of the training were held at the hall of the training depots in Nay Pyi taw Council Area, Hmawbi Township of Yangon Region, Myittha Township and Mong Mao Township of Mandalay Region and Taungoo Township of Bago Region.

During the completion ceremonies, the commands’ commanders and other officials made speeches and gave gifts and awarded the students who won the prizes. 

During the military trainings, a total of 768 volunteer students and faculty members from the University Training Corps were undergone military training for 7-week period. During the training programme, trainees were taught on the subjects of physical fitness, Myanmar traditional martial arts, military parade activity, small arms, individual battlefield skills, military tactics, field engineering, health and first aid, and shooting practices at the range. In addition to, the training programme includes study tour for general knowledge, reports say.
