Union Minister U Ko Ko Lwin Visits Coal-based Fertilizer Plants in Changzhi and Beijing, China

A Myanmar delegation led by Union Minister for Energy U Ko Ko Lwin visited the Lu An Chemical Plant in Changzhi, China, on 9 November and they toured the Aerospace Museum and Research and Development Centre of CETEC (Changzheng Engineering Technology Co Ltd) in Beijing, on 10 November.

Myanmar delegation led by Union Minister met the company’s officials and discussed the feasibility study to ensure the quality of charcoal, the primary raw material in the production of fertilizer from coal, compliance with international standards not to harm the environment, systematic transfer of advanced technologies to be used in implementing the project.

Moreover, the Union Minister and members also participated in a discussion with the experts at the meeting hall of WISDRI Engineering & Research Incorporation Limited in Beijing on 11 November. During the meeting, they discussed the technology of extracting oxygen and nitrogen using a cryogenic process, which will be mainly used in the production of fertilizer from coal and the technology of generating required electricity through coal, it is reported.
