The combined team comprising Anti-Narcotics Task Force members across the country are putting an emphasis on seizure of narcotic drugs and drug-trafficking. In this regard:
- On 1 November, acting on a tip-off, the combined team conducted a search on a residence of Sai Keng (aka) Ye Lang in Yaybu San village, Lwetaw Kham village tract of Tachilek Township where narcotics were hidden. They arrested Sai Yi Lok and Aik Kaung together with K3.23B worth of 4.036 million stimulant tablets, 202 kilos of ICE (Crystal Meth), 75 kilos of incense powder (Vanillin), 360 litres of incense solution, and an Isuzu D-Max vehicle.
- Further investigations indicate that the house owner Sai Keng (aka) Ye Lang and, Anjelo who live in Hwe Ye village of Lwetaw Kham village tract, plotted the seized drugs to make drug trade at the border of Tachilek Township.
Legal action has been taken against them under the law, and officials are conducting ongoing investigations to identify the chain drug-related offenders. Again, money profits and the property of the offenders involved in the drug-related crimes will be taken actions under Anti-Money Laundering Law, it is reported.
