A total of 96 students from the University Training Corps in Pathein of Ayeyawady Region were undergone the first year basic military training programme on 1st of October. The passing out parade of the training was held on 30 October at the hall of training depot under South-eastern Command. Chief Minister of the Ayeyawady Region, the commander of South-eastern Command and other officials gave souvenirs to and awarded the students who won the prizes.
During the training programme, trainees were taught on the subjects of physical exercise, military tactics (section), field engineering, health and first aid, and practical firing at range. In addition to, the training programme includes study tour for general knowledge, reports say.
