Union Ministers Receive Delegation Led by Mr. Aleksei Shuplov, Chairman of Russia-Myanmar Business Council

Union Minister for Investment and Foreign Economic Relations Dr. Kan Zaw and Chairman of the Union Civil Service Board U Aung Thaw received a delegation led by Mr. Aleksei Shuplov, Chairman of the Russian-Myanmar Business Council (RMBC) from Russia Federation at the respective ministries in Nay Pyi Taw on 31 October.

• During the meeting between the Union Minister for Investment and Foreign Economic Relations and Chairman of Russia-Myanmar Business Council, both sides cordially discussed the prospects and procedures of investment in Myanmar, and the establishment of direct business ties in different areas and partner organization of Russia- Myanmar Business Council in Myanmar.
• During the meeting between Chairman of the Union Civil Service Board and Chairman of Russia-Myanmar Business Council, they discussed future cooperation in social, economic, and cultural sectors, as well as the provision of humanitarian assistance, in a cordial atmosphere. The Russian delegation also donated US $5,000 to support the flood victims affected by the recent Typhoon Yagi.

The meeting was also attended by the senior officials and the relevant officials from the respective ministries and the officials from the Russia-Myanmar Friendship Association, it is reported.
