Union Minister for Commerce U Tun Ohn, leading the Myanmar delegation, attended the opening ceremony of the 21st China-ASEAN Expo (CAEXPO) and China-ASEAN Business and Investment Summit (CABIS) held in Nanning, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, People’s Republic of China, on the morning of 24 September.
Following the opening, Union Minister U Tun Ohn, along with other ASEAN and Chinese leaders, jointly inaugurated the Expo and Summit by pressing a ceremonial button and they later toured the Myanmar exhibition booths, where local businesses were showcasing a variety of goods.
At the ceremony, Myanmar’s participation in the Expo includes 84 booths featuring a diverse range ofproducts such as Arabica coffee, agricultural produce, fishery products, small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) goods, handicrafts, and gem-stones.
The opening ceremony was attended by Chinese Vice-Premier Ding Xuexiang and Deputy Prime Ministers from Cambodia, Vietnam and the Lao People's Democratic Republic, Ministers from ASEAN countries the ASEAN Secretary General and officials from China and ASEAN countries. It is reported.
