Delegation led by Chairman of Anti-Corruption Commission Attends Fifth Plenary Meeting of the Global Operational Network of Anti-Corruption Law Enforcement Authorities (GlobE Network)

The Fifth Plenary Meeting of the Global Operational Network of Anti-Corruption Law Enforcement Authorities (GlobE Network) is being held in Beijing, People’s Republic of China from 24 to 27 September. A delegation led by U Sit Aye, the Chairman of the Anti-Corruption Commission, attended the event through videoconferencing on 24 September.

At the event, introductory remarks were delivered by the Director of the Trading Affairs Division and the Executive Director of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime-UNODC. Following this, representatives from anti-corruption organizations of Spain, Saudi Arabia, and China gave speeches, and a video clip under the title of “Together Against Cross-Border Corruption” which is an activity of China was shown. Representative from the respective countries took part in the discussions under the theme of “Global Vision”, strengthening legal frameworks for combating corruption, and enhancing collaboration efforts, it is reported.
