Union Ministers, deputy ministers and concerned officials have made management for fieldwork on water inflow into dams, the status of water flow in creeks, the wreckage of village-to-village connecting roads, bridges, water supply works for villages, the damage of power cables, the conditions of wrecked roads and bridges under repair works, the condition of basic education schools flooded and the provision of healthcare services due to heavy rain by Yagi Typhoon. They carried out the following activities on 23 September:
- Union Minister for Cooperatives and Rural Development U Hla Moe inspected the damages of roads and inter-village roads in recent flash floods, and clean-up of private wells, distribution of purified drinking water by mobile water purifier truck, and damages of crops in Alaeywar, Shanywar and Welgyi Villages in Zeyarthiri Township of Nay Pyi Taw Union Territory. He then instructed the officials to undertake soonest repair and restoration works as per the priority.
- Union Minister for Construction U Myo Thant inspected the completion of temporary restoration of damaged roads and bridges, permanent repair works under construction and arrangements to be maintained for Sin Thay Creek. In addition to, he arrived at Sin Thay Creek Bridge (PopaKone) and Aye Myint Thaya Bridge and inspected the resilience of bridges, waterflow and waterway, giving necessary instructions.
- Nay Pyi Taw Council Chair U Than Tun Oo inspected the repair works of the damaged parts between Pinlaung Junction and Aye Myint Thaya Bridge, ongoing repair works of Basic Education Primary School in Sharsayhpo Village of Pobbathiri Township and Basic Education Post-Primary School in Ayemyintthaya Village and Sharsayhpo electric water pump affected by flash floods, and status of the breakdown of embankment around the circular road of No. 3 Mingalar Lake.
- Deputy Minister for Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation U Bo Bo Kyaw inspected the restoration of irrigated water system at Kyii Ni reservoir, resilience of weir and sluice gate, temporary construction of the reserved spillway and remains of silts in the reservoir, repair works of drainage system in Yezin Fishery Camp in Zeyathiri Township and its irrigated water system. He then left necessary instructions.
Natural disaster occurred due to extreme flow of water in rivers and creeks, heavy water inflow into the dams across the nation. In this regard, concerned authorities are closely making management to recover the damages. They are also collaborating with relevant organizations to make relief efforts for flood victims in a timely manner, reports say.
