Authorities are carrying out rescue and relief measures for flood victims as heavy rainfall occurred in the villages and wards of regions and state, including Nay Pyi Taw Council area and cleaning activities in the affected areas. In this regard:
- Union Minister for Home Affairs Lt. Gen Yar Pyae and the generous donators provided K67 million, 1,000 rice bags, cooking oil, eggs, instance noodle and other foodstuffs for flood victims in temporary relief camps of Taungoo District and donated 74 rice bags, 365 visses cooking oil, 6,300 eggs and K1 million to buy for books.
- Deputy Minister for Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation is coordinating with relevant organizations to ensure the rapid distribution of 1,002.71 tonnes of reserved rice for flooded regions and states in accordance with ASEAN Plus Three Emergency Rice Reserve (APTERR) programme.
- Union Minister for Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement and Shan State Chief Minister provided cash of rice ration, relief materials and foodstuffs for 145 households from 12 temporary relief camps in kalaw township and provided K40 million for cash of rice ration and K24.9 million worth of relief materials.
- Ministry of Health provided K4.5 million for flood-hit health staffs in Bago Region.
- Staffs of Myanma Radio and Television under the Ministry of Information and the generous donators donated K5 million worth of consumer goods, foodstuffs and medications for flood victims in Pyinmana and Tatkon townships.
- Union Minister for Cooperatives and Rural Development U Hla Moe provided K5.5 million worth of foodstuffs including rice, cooking oil for flood victims in Tatkon township.
- Ministry of Religious Affairs and Culture provided K18.8 million and 564 robes, 486 buddha statues, rice, cooking oil and foodstuffs for 94 monasteries and nunneries were evacuated in Zayar Thiri township, Nay Pyi Taw council area.
- The generous donators donated K752.2 million, rice boxes, medicine boxes for flood-hit people from flood-ravaged through Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement.
- The generous donators donated K209 million worth of foodstuffs, clothes and Personal items for the areas affected by the flooding in Mandalay Region and donated K582.5 million for flood victims in Taungoo District through Region Chief Ministers.
- The generous donators donated K814 million for flood-hit people from flood-ravaged through Kayin State Chief Minister.
- The generous donators from Yangon Region donated K807 million for flood victims in the villages of region and state through Yangon Command Commander.
- Departmental personnel and the generous donators donated K90 million and K100 million worth of foodstuffs and consumer goods for flood victims in Nay Pyi Taw council area.
- Departmental personnel and the generous donators donated K171 million for flood victims in Taunggyi township.
The State Government is providing a total of 800,000 kyats per one person to the families of those who died due to natural disasters, which includes 500,000 kyats from the National Disaster Management Fund and 300,000 kyats from the Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement, reports say.
