Chairman of the State Administration Council (SAC) Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, accompanied by the SAC Member Chief of the General Staff (Army, Navy and Air) General Maung Maung Aye, Commander-in-Chief (Navy) Vice-Admiral Htein Win, senior military officers from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief, the commander of Nay Pyi Taw Command and officials, inspected military headquarters in Tatkon Station affected by flash floods, gave necessary instructions and provided relief supplies.
First, the SAC Chairman Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services gave words of encouragements to the military personnel and families at the hall of the local military headquarters as follows:
- Necessary assistance would be given for loss and damage due to the impacts of the unexpected natural disaster.
- Officials need to clear up debris in flooding and route blockades in conducting rehabilitation measures.
- As the second priority, it is necessary to emphasize water and power supply processes and then take rehabilitation measures for other matters.
- It needs for families to buy basic foodstuffs at reduced prices to ensure family convenience.
- Taking lessons from the recent incidents, it is necessary to systematically conduct research on construction of buildings at a far distance from the waterway of flash floods occur. Later, the Senior General left necessary instructions and presented food supplies and clothes for military personnel and families.
Then, the Senior General comforted Tatmadaw members receiving medical treatment at the clinic of the local military command for their injuries in flash floods and presented foodstuffs. The Senior General then inspected the damage to Mon Creek Bridge triggered by torrential water.
Later, the SAC Chairman Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services and party viewed round the damaged family housings of the local military headquarters in recent torrential water, the removal of silt and debris in the basic education high school and clean-up activities after the flood mitigated, and damage and loss of roads, bridges, and buildings in the military station during the flash floods. Then, the Senior General left necessary instructions of providing necessary assistance as quickly as possible.
