The combined team comprising Anti-Narcotics Task Force members across the country are putting an emphasis on seizure of narcotic drugs and drug-trafficking. In this regard:
- On 8 September, a combined team comprising Anti-Narcotics Task Force members arrested Tun Tun Myint and his accomplice, Ba Thar Zan in Ward 41, Dagon Myothit (North) Township, along with one kilogramme of ketamine and 105 grammes of Happy Water.
- According to the confession of the offenders, the team also arrested Hla Shwe (aka) Adur Muna and Zaw Min Naing (aka) Inmaran with 920,000 stimulant tablets in Chanmyathazi Township, Mandalay Region. In total, the team seized K2.4 billion worth of one kilogramme of ketamine, 105 grammes of Happy Water, 1.9 million stimulant tablets, and 50 grammes of heroin.
Legal action has been taken against them under the law, and officials are conducting ongoing investigations to identify the chain drug-related offenders. Again, money profits and the property of the offenders involved in the drug-related crimes will be taken actions under Anti-Money Laundering Law, it is reported.
