Union Ministers have made management for fieldwork on water inflow into dams, the status of water flow in creeks, the wreckage of village-to-village connecting roads, bridges, water supply works for villages, the damage of power cables, the conditions of wrecked roads and bridges under repair works, the condition of basic education schools flooded and the provision of healthcare services due to heavy rain by Yagi Typhoon from 11 to 15 September.
- Union Minister for Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation U Min Naung arrived at the Yezin and Paung Laung dam reservoirs, the Pin Laung crossroads, Sinthay Creek, Ngalaik Creek, Kin Thar dam reservoirs, Paunglaung dam, Paunglaung sluice dam (Awaiyar Dam) and Ngalaik Dam. He inspected the status of water inflow and maintenance of the dams and the overflow water from the spillway, the condition of work for quick drainage to ebb the floods, and gave instructions to the officials to make public announcement in advance for possible water inflow, collaborate with relevant organizations for search and rescue operations, make close monitoring and use necessary machineries for water drainage to the lower creeks and streams that cannot affect to locals.
- Union Minister for Cooperatives and Rural Development U Hla Moe inspected the wreckage of village-to-village connecting roads, bridges, water supply works for villages, houses, deaths of cattle in Nay Pyi Taw during the flood because of heavy rain and the supply of drinking water with mobile water purification vehicles. He also gave instructions to the officials not to take place the disconnection of road network, work for road safety the quickest and carry out repair works for long-run existence and endurance for disasters. He also fulfilled necessary requirements.
- Union Minister for Electric Power U Nyan Tun inspected repair works for the collapse of power cables and transmission towers in Tatkon Townshio due to floods in the aftermath of heavy rain. He gave instructions to the officials to organize manpower and machineries for repair works, use standardized materials and waste the materials for the restoration of electricity supply.
- Union Minister for Education Dr. Nyunt Pe inspected basic education schools wrecked by floods in Takon, Pobba Thiri, Zeyar Thiri and Lewe Townships and gave instructions to the officials to carry out necessary rehabilitation works for the quickest resumption of teaching activities. He also coordinated the efforts of the officials.
- Union Minister for Health Dr. Thet Khaing Win inspected the healthcare works in temporarily flood relief camps in Nay Pyi Taw and instructed the officials to resume the hospital works as early as possible with the supply of water and electricity.
- Union Minister for Construction U Myo Thant inspected the arrangement to build temporary Bailey bridges due to the collapse of approach to, road banks at, fall away of the bridge poles at and floods on the Sin Thay Creek bridge (Poppagon), the Sin Thay Creek bridge (Thaik Chaung), Aye Myint Thayar bridge, Kyauk Chet bridge and Nawin Chaung bridge. He also inspected the cleanup works for floating trees and rubbishes by machineries along Pobba Thiri circular road. He then coordinated the efforts of the officials to undertake repair works not to cut off road network, traffic and flow of goods and manage temporary bypass.
- Deputy Minister for Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation U Bo Bo Kyaw arrived at Samon dam reservoir and Nyaung Yan Min Hla lakes and inspected the status of water inflow into the dam, storage of water, flow of water from spillway, management for safety of the dam, the maintenance of: the sluice-gate; the sluice-gate for exposing sand; the related hydro-power infrastructure and the dam and the route for water flow. He then gave instructions to the officials to manage for the quickest repair works.
Along the area where whirlwind is occurring and across the country, there has been heavy flow of water in rivers and creeks and heavy water inflow into dams. Since it can be possibly natural disaster, officials of Irrigation and Water Utilization Management Department are closely monitoring. Then, they are making arrangements for public announcement about floods to locals and collaboration with relevant organizations to prevent floods in a timely manner, reports say.
