Efforts made to Increase Exports in the Fiscal Year of 2024-2025

In the tenure of State Administration Council Government, efforts are being made to increase exports via border trade posts and regular trade routes. In this regard;

• Within four-month period from April to July in the fiscal year of 2024-2025, Myanmar earned a total of USD 0.997 million from the export of 664.82 tonnes of honey products: 637.82 tonnes through regular trade routes and 27 tonnes through border trade posts in the private sector.
• Within five-month period from April to the end of August in the fiscal year of 2024-2025, Myanmar earned a total of USD 353 million from the export of 710,000 tonnes of rice and broken rice.
• Within five-month period from April to the end of August in the fiscal year of 2024-2025, Myanmar earned a total of USD 137.731 million from the export of 124,793.671 tonnes of Aquatic products: USD 88.643 million from the export of 65,611.96 tonnes through regular trade routes and USD 49.088 million from the export of 59,181 tonnes through border trade posts.
• In the corresponding period of the last year, Myanmar earned a total of USD 74.253 million from the export of 59,885.234 tonnes of fish, earning USD 63.478 million more from the export of 64,908.437 tonnes in this fiscal year.

Although the border trade activities are being suspended at the Myanmar-China border trade posts due to the disruptions of terrorist insurgents, efforts are being made to promote exports through maritime shipping routes.
