Kayin and Mon State Chief Ministers Receive Thailand Ambassador to Myanmar

Kayin State Chief Minister U Saw Myint Oo and Mon State Chief Minister U Aung Kyi Thein received Thailand Ambassador to Myanmar H.E. Mr. Mongkol Visitstump and delegates at the halls of relevant state government offices on 9 and 10 September.

• During the meeting between Kayin State Chief Minister and Thailand Ambassador, they mainly discussed the matters related to bilateral border trade, road communication, education, health, security, law and order, transnational crimes, combatting terrorist attacks and illegal trade, legal cover for official MoU workers and bilateral cooperation.
• During the meeting between Mon State Chief Minister and Thailand Ambassador, they exchanged views on matters related to deepening bilateral friendly relations and economic cooperation, boosting trade sector, enhancing border trade, developing business and investment, making convenient on road communication for exports and imports including commodities and enhancing tourism industry sector.

Also present were ministers of State Governments and officials of the Embassy of Thailand, it is reported.
