The SAC member, Deputy Prime Minister and Union Minister for Transport and Communications General Mya Tun Oo and Union Minister for Health Dr. Thet Khaing Win received Chinese Ambassador to Myanmar H.E. Ms. Ma Jia, at the respective ministries on 10 September.
- During the meeting between SAC member Deputy Prime Minister and Union Minister for Transport and Communications and Chinese Ambassador, they cordially exchanged views on matters pertaining to the transport and communication projects being currently implemented in cooperation between the two countries, training and employment of maritime personnel, expansion of flights, investment and technology sharing in the communications and information sector.
- During the meeting between Union Minister for Health and Chinese Ambassador, they exchanged views on further deepening cooperation in the health sector, health cooperation with Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) member countries, collaboration between medical universities and medical-related universities of the two countries, the development of the traditional medicine sector and greater collaboration among traditional medicine universities, cooperation between the two countries in cardiology education and cardiovascular surgery and deepening collaboration in healthcare based on the Myanmar-China community.
Also present at the calls were Deputy Ministers, directors-general, representatives of Embassy of People’s Republic of China and departmental officials, it is reported.
