The final match and award ceremony of the 2024 inter-ministerial universities’ football tournament took place at Wunna Theikdi Stadium on 9 September. The Chairman of State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing attended the occasion and awarded prizes to the athletes.
The Senior General and attendees enjoyed the final match between the team representing Ministry of Education and the team representing Ministry of Border Affairs. Then, the Senior General presented cash awards in honour and the championship trophy to the team representing the Ministry of Border Affairs which won the first prize. The other officials awarded individual medals to the team.
Also present were SAC Joint Secretary, SAC members, union ministers, union level officials, the Nay Pyi Taw Council chair, senior military officers from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief, the Nay Pyi Taw Command commander, deputy ministers, departmental officials, coaches and footballers of the teams, students and faculty members of inter-ministerial universities, families of the ministries, and sports enthusiasts, it is reported.
