Union Ministers Receive Mr. Marcoluigi Corsi, UN Resident Coordinator for Myanmar and Humanitarian Coordinator for Myanmar ad interim

The SAC Member Deputy Prime Minister and Union Minister for Defence Admiral Tin Aung San and Union Minister for Foreign Affairs U Than Swe received Mr. Marcoluigi Corsi, UN Resident Coordinator for Myanmar and Humanitarian Coordinator for Myanmar ad interim, at the relevant ministries on 4 and 5 September.

• During the meeting between the SAC Member Deputy Prime Minister and Union Minister for Defence and the UN Resident Coordinator for Myanmar, they exchanged friendly and open views on matters related to the United Nations cooperation processes, prevention of child soldiers from serving in the military and the status of efforts for calling up People’s Military Servants.
• During the meeting between the Union Minister for Foreign Affairs and the UN Resident Coordinator for Myanmar, they discussed matters related to recent cooperation and future cooperation between the Government of Myanmar and UN organizations.
