Union Minister for Industry Dr. Charlie Than and Union Minister for Cooperatives and Rural Development U Hla Moe received H.E. Mr. Iskander Azizov, Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Myanmar, at the relevant ministries in Nay Pyi Taw on 27 August.
- During the call between Union Minister for Industry and Russian Ambassador, both sides cordially made discussion and negotiation for signing the contract framework to install and conduct test runs of the machines at melting furnace and Oxygen workshop, aiming the soonest complete operation of the No (2) Steel Factory (Pangpet) project and the provision of technical support for operating the factory.
- During the call between Union Minister for Cooperatives and Rural Development and Russian Ambassador, they cordially discussed the matters relating to the signing process for MoU on construction of leaf tonic factory collaborated between the Russian Federation Roscongress Investment Funds, Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation and Ministry of Cooperatives and Rural Development and the sunflower seeds to be provided by the Russian Federations and promotion of bilateral friendship and cooperation.
The permanent secretaries, directors-general and other officials attended the meetings, reports say.
