Union Ministers Receive Chinese Ambassador to Myanmar

Deputy Prime Minister and Union Minister for Foreign Affairs U Than Swe and

Union Minister for Agriculture, Livestock, and Irrigation U Min Naung received H.E. Ms. Ma Jia, Ambassador of China to Myanmar, at the relevant ministries in Nay Pyi Taw on 27 August.

  • During the call between Deputy Prime Minister and Union Minister for Foreign Affairs and Chinese Ambassador, they cordially discussed matters pertaining to further consolidation of the existing Pauk-Phaw relations and im­plementation of mutually ben­eficial cooperation between the two countries, as well as China’s consistent support towards peace and sustainable socioeconomic development for Myanmar. Both sides also exchanged views on closer collaboration in the regional and international arena.
  • During the call between Union Minister for Agriculture Livestock and Irrigation and Chinese Ambassador,  both sides cordially discussed matters in connection with cooper­ation in the development of the ag­ricultural sector between the two countries, the Mekong-Lancang Cooperation Special Fund Projects and trade activities in farm products made collaboration with the General Ad­ministration of Customs China (GACC).

The permanent secretaries, directors-general and other officials attended the meetings, it is reported.
