Union Minister U Aung Naing Oo Inspects Investment Activities in Taunggyi and Yaksawk Townships

On 9 January, Union Minister for Investment and Foreign Economic Relations, U Aung Naing Oo performed the following activities:

· He inspected the cement factory of Shan Yoma Cement Co. Ltd in the Pinpet region of Taunggyi township. The factory that runs under the permission of the Myanmar Investment Commission is wholly owned by Myanmar citizens, and produces 1,000 tonnes per day. He also viewed the avocado plantation implementing environmental conservation in the factory compound. Moreover, he visited the avocado cleansing and packaging factory which is collectively operated by local avocado farmers.

· He inspected the mango cleansing and packaging processes of Unique Lawksawk Mango Public Co., Ltd. in Kyainn village of Magyigon village-tract of Yaksawk township. The Union Minister discussed the promotion of the collaboration with mango farmers, the exports of marketable fruits in addition to mango and the improvement of other investment-related matters.

· On 10 January, the Union Minister met with merchants and industry businesspeople of Shan state (South). He urged that it is required the proper cooperation between the government and economists not to harm the State economy during the period of political changes.

Shan state Economic Minister U Khun Thein Maung, the officials from the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Economic Relations, the Chairman and vice chairman of State Chambers of Commerce and Industry, and business persons attended the meeting, and the business persons discussed the matters relating to challenges in the workplace, the necessary things supported by the government and suggestions.

  • Union Minister inspected the cement factory of Shan Yoma Cement Co.
