The 74th Anniversary of Kachin State Day was celebrated on the lawn of the Kachin State Government Office in the morning of 10 January. The ceremony was attended by State Administration Council Members, Union Ministers, Kachin State Chief Minister and state government members, Commander of Northern Command and officials, departmental officials and local ethnic nationalities.
The ceremony began with a salute to the State Flag, and SAC Member Jeng Phang Naw Taung read out the message sent by Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing on the occasion of the 74th Kachin State Day.
The attendees happily participated in the Kachin traditional Manaw festival which was held on the lawn of the Kachin State Government Office. They also looked around the exhibitions and sales booths opened by respective departments to commemorate Kachin State Day.
In the afternoon, Honorary Certificate/ Award-Giving Ceremony of Commemorating the 74th Anniversary of Kachin State Day was held at the City Hall in Myitkyina. During the ceremony, State Administration Council Members, Union Ministers, Kachin State Chief Minister and state government members, Commander of Northern Command presented first awards for Excellence in Management to eight, second awards to 16, third awards to 22; second awards for Excellence in Business to five, third award to one; first awards for Excellence in Social Activities to six, second awards to 11 and third awards to nine. They also rewarded honorary certificates to 193 people. A total of 271 people were presented honorary certificates and honorary awards.
