Efforts made to Increase Exports in the Fiscal Year of 2024-2025

In the tenure of State Administration Council Government, efforts are being made to increase exports via border trade posts and regular trade routes. In this regard;

  • Over three-month period from 1st April to 14th July in the fiscal year of 2024-2025, Myanmar earned a total of USD 164 million from the export of 124,000 tonnes of marine products.
  • Within four-month period from April to July in the fiscal year of 2024-2025, Myanmar earned a total of USD 98.488 million from the export of 87,813.476 tonnes of fishery products.
  • Within four-month period from April to July in the fiscal year of 2024-2025, Myanmar earned a total of USD 6.957 million from the export of 1,885.11 tonnes of prawn.
  • Within four-month period from April to July in the fiscal year of 2024-2025, Myanmar earned a total of USD 256 million from the export of 510,911.55 tonnes of rice and broken rice.

Although the border trade activities are being suspended at the Myanmar-China border trade posts due to the disruptions of terrorist insurgents, efforts are being made to promote exports through maritime shipping routes.
