Appointment of Ms. Ma Jia as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to the Republic of the Union of Myanmar Agreed On

The Government of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar has agreed to the appointment of Ms. Ma Jia as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to the Republic of the Union of Myanmar with residence in Yangon.

Ms. Ma Jia, was born in November 1967 in Yongji, Shanxi Province, a university graduate. She joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1991 and had served in various capacities at both headquarters and abroad. She also served as Deputy Mayor of Sansha City, Hainan Province from 2018 to 2019. Since 2019, she has been serving as a Minister Counsellor and Minister at the Chinese Embassy to the Republic of India. It is reported.
