A ceremony of Education Programme on effective utilization in Food Production Industries funded by Mekong-Lancang Cooperation Special Fund (2023) was held on 7 August at Engineer Council Hall in Yangon Region. The Union Minister Dr. Charlie Than attended it and made remarks via video conferencing.
The Union Minister said the following points:
- Ministry of Industry is envisaged to reduce 20 percent of energy utilization in 2023 based on the utilization of energy in 2012. The project works funded by Mekong-Lancang cooperation programme are industrial works.
- Energy management system will be used in factories and industries and energy managers will be turned out. Manufacturing procedures include te use of technology for effective utilization of energy as well as machines and devices with high-capacity.
- This event aims at majority of food production industries in Yangon and technology for effective utilization of energy will be shared. Relevant experts will discuss technology on effective utilization of energy and information of food production.
During the event, relevant officials explained the matters related to cooperation in effective utilization of energy. The participants made queries what they wanted to know, suggested and laid the means to conduct effective utilization of energy.
The occasion was attended director-general of Industrial Cooperation Department, members of Myanmar Engineer Council, representatives of Mekong-Lancang Cooperation Team (Myanmar), officials of the relevant Ministries, food production association and related organizations.
