Union Ministers Receive a Russian Delegation of Fund Roscongress Investments

Union Minister for Investment and Foreign Economic Relations Dr. Kan Zaw, Union Minister for Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation U Min Naung and Union Minister for Cooperatives and Rural Development U Hla Moe received a Russian delegation led by Director of Fund Roscongress Investments Mr. Alexander Sergeevich Shatirov at the relevant ministries on 1 and 2 August.

• During the meeting between Union Minister for Investment and Foreign Economic Relations and the Director of Fund Roscongress Investments, both sides cordially discussed the progress of the bilateral economic cooperation in the fields of investment, agriculture, mining, and other arenas that Myanmar and the Russian Federation can mutually be interested in.
• During the meeting between the Union Minister for Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation and the Director of Fund Roscongress Investments, they discussed the matters on establishment of Foilar Fertilizer Plant in Nay Pyi Taw and promoting investment of Russian private sector in Myanma agricultural industry.
• During the meeting between the Union Minister for Cooperatives and Rural Development and the Director of Fund Roscongress Investments, both sides cordially discussed matters pertaining to establishment of Foliar Fertilizer manufacturing plant using Russian technologies in order to gain agricultural benefits and improve soil quality, signing Memorandum of Cooperation-MOC on economic and technical cooperation,  arrangement of land area for plant construction, import of Russian Foliar Fertilizer and the test of the fertilizer in plantations as well as provision of necessary assistance in raising awareness among farmers.

Also present at the meetings were Deputy Ministers, permanent secretaries, directors-general and officials, it is reported.
