At the invitation of the Communist Party of China, a delegation from four political parties led by Union Election Commission Member U Ko Ko Lwin, left for People’s Republic of China on 20 July aiming to enhance relations between the Communist Party of China and political parties of Myanmar.
During the study tour, the delegation observed the development of rural areas and poverty alleviation, as well as the development of hotels and tourism. They visited the China-South Asia Expo, China-Kunming Import and Export Expo, and attended the discussions on policy-making on ethnic groups and tribes, and observed the status of the construction of the Yunnan Grand Power Grid Network, the Museum of the Communist Party of China and other famous places.
The delegation arrived back at Yangon International Airport on 27 July where the representatives from political parties and officials welcomed them.
