Today, I am going to explain the situation in Northern Shan State.
MNDAA terrorists of insurgents launched attacks in the vicinity of Lashio on 3 July. Likewise, TNLA terrorist group launched rocket and drone attacks against the residential areas of the civilians in Nawnghkio, Kyaukme and Mogyoke rather than military positions, claiming lives of civilians and wrecking property of people. Their attacks damaged religious edifices, roads and bridges, public hospitals and clinics and schools. As of the data collected, thirty people including five children were killed and 55 others were injured in Lashio alone. Our ethnic national people were forced to flee from the fighting and leave their houses, shops and businesses they had built with their savings by generations for many years. Currently, many ethnic national people have displaced by the attacks of MNDAA, TNLA and AA terrorists and their ally PDF terrorists against towns and villages. Then, they have taken shelters in other towns and villages including Pyin Oo Lwin, Taunggyi and Mandalay. It can be seen that the government, local administrative bodies, volunteer social assistance organizations and private well-wishers are providing assistance to them. I would like to say that I am proud of the spirit of Myanmar and the spirit of giving a helping hand of ethnic national people towards the displaced persons by the insurgents’ attacks along their way. While people with the Union spirit and Myanmar spirit are providing humanitarian assistance to the victims, it is disappointed to see that exiles, organizations and media that rely on foreign countries are supporting insurgents who are destroying the lives and property of the people like robbery gangs. It can clearly be seen those, who are happy to see the deaths and losses of the people and destruction of property, public roads, bridges, schools, places of worship like pagodas, monasteries and religious buildings, have wicked and destructive mindsets towards our country and our people. The entire population must categorically cooperate in opposing them.
It can be seen that the MNDAA terrorist group announced that they had occupied Lashio yesterday. An official from the Tatmadaw Information Team has clarified that the news was just fabricated for propaganda purposes. Within a short time after the announcement of the MNDAA, a Bamar traitor group called the BPLA echoed the misinformation, their leader’s also answered to the media, other subversive media and those who rely on foreign countries’ assistance launched propaganda campaigns massively as usual. Uniquely, a large number of propaganda campaigns were also launched in Chinese language on Tik Tok and We Chat applications. All of our people and security organizations need to figure out the purpose of these saboteurs and the reasons why they spread the fabricated news massively.
MNDAA, TNLA and PDF terrorist groups suffered a large number of deaths, injuries and losses during the fights in Lashio, Nawnghkio, Kyaukme and Hsipaw areas in July and many of them fled in disorder. So, they arrested displaced persons, ethnic national people including children and elderly people in villages they occupied and forced them to fight against security forces for them. This caused losses of lives and property again. Therefore, they are doing so to cover up their real situation and low morale. Here, I would like to remind you that those who were unlawfully recruited by MNDAA, TNLA and other terrorist groups can flee from them for safe places. The Tatmadaw and our security organizations can guarantee their lives and safety.
When terrorists attacked Lashio and related areas, people from all over Myanmar, including local people and even the Chinese people protested their bandit- friendly act. Accordingly, the terrorists launched electrically-initiated rockets and shelled houses in the neighbourhoods where the people live, to flee the civilians with fear. They arrived at public places under the guise of civilians. It was done to break down the opposition of the public, the unity and opinions of our ethnic national people.
In addition, it was done to get more behind-the-scenes aid from the local and foreign organizations.
Today, they took position in some parts of Lashio in civilian clothes, and then changed into uniforms and walked around in the city showing flag hoisting. They toured around some places in Lashio city by car and took pictures and videos to spread propaganda.
The public, Tatmadaw members, Myanmar Police Force members and people’s militia who are bravely fighting for the lives of the people and the nation in this region, need to know about it.
MNDAA and TNLA terrorist groups are attacking lives and property of the local ethnic people under various reasons. They are committing racial discrimination, arbitrary occupation and forced recruitment of soldiers to death in the areas they illegally invaded. You can witness that they are attacking each other to take control of the territory. I would like to ask a question whether socio-economic lives of the local people improve and secure in the areas they illegally invaded. They are only the bandits who are bullying ethnic national people at gunpoint.
The Tatmadaw is the armed forces that emerged with the independence of Myanmar. Working together with the ethnic national people, the Tatmadaw members sacrificed their lives, blood and sweat during the fight for Myanmar's independence. After independence, the government was being regarded as the Yangon government due to various insurgent groups. During the time, the Tatmadaw joining hands with responsible ethnic national people safeguarded the independence of the country and the sovereignty of the Myanmar people. Among the 14 regional military commands under the Tatmadaw, the North-Eastern Command is fine in its tradition. It defeated the Kuomintang invasion from abroad. It repeatedly defeated the invasions of the Communist Party of Burma. It is a military command that helped the local ethnic national people free from the oppression of the warlords and drug lords.
Under today’s circumstances, it can be clearly witnessed that the warlordism like bandit appeared in various disguise, under propagandas as well as indoctrination of racism. Again, the unfaithful scumbags and organizations, which have destructive mind towards the country and the people, are being involved in the nefarious conspiracy and abetting the warlordism. These issues are about to end. It's like a flame that's about to go out. So they are making propaganda as well as oppression of the people and forcing them to join the battle after forced recruitment to keep the flame alive. We need to be aware of these issues. Everyone needs to work together. The ethnic national people, the Tatmadaw members, MPF members and militia forces must work together to wipe out the terrorists who come to infiltrate into towns and villages under the guise of civilians. The State and the people put a great honour to military personnel, Myanmar Police Force members, militia forces, ethnic organizations and ethnic people, who are fighting in the battle bravely across the country at great risk. It is sure that the battle waging to safeguard for ethnic communities will inevitably win the victory.
As long as Myanmar exists, the Tatmadaw will be there. As long as the Tatmadaw exists, Myanmar must be sustained and strengthened. The property, life and socio-economic life of the people must be secured. The entire ethnic population is urged to work together in unity for “Let's protect our land to make the motherland stable and peaceful”.
