State Administration Council is extending invitation to those from opposing armed organizations under various names including PDFs to return to legal fold. In this regard:
- On 24 July, four male PDF members and one female PDF member from Hsi Hseng Township of Shan state (South), Loikaw and Demoso Townships of Kayah state, were entrusted to the care of their parents and guardians after they had signed the document of pledge. Moreover, the officials of the relevant regional government also provided supplies and foodstuffs to the returnees.
State Administration Council welcomes and provides necessary assistance to the people who returned to legal fold. Cash rewards are also provided for weapons. Up to 24 July 2024, a total of 752 persons including 592 males and 160 females have already returned the legal fold, it is reported.
