Union Ministers Receive Bangladeshi Ambassador to Myanmar

Deputy Prime Minister and Union Minister for Foreign Affairs U Than Swe and Union Minister for Education Dr. Nyunt Pe received H.E. Dr.Md. Monwar Hossain, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh to the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, at their respective ministries in Nay Pyi Taw on 17 July.

• During the call between Deputy Prime Minister and Union Minister for Foreign Affairs and the Bangladeshi Ambassador, they cordially exchanged views on matters pertaining to the further consolidation of existing friendly ties and expansion of cooperation in various fields of mutual interests including trade and investment, tourism and people-to-people exchanges between Myanmar and Bangladesh.
• During the call between Union Minister for Education and the Bangladeshi Ambassador, they frankly discussed further promoting cooperation in the education sector between Myanmar and Bangladesh.

The deputy ministers, permanent secretaries and relevant officials were also present at the meetings, it is reported.
