A Myanmar delegation led by Vice-Chairman of the State Administration Council (SAC) Deputy Prime Minister Vice-Senior General Soe Win left Nay Pyi Taw for People’s Republic of China on 6 July, to attend the Green Development Forum of Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) to be held at Qingdao City of Shandong Province in China from 8 to 9 July. Before the fourm, Myanmar delegation attended the Myanmar-China bilateral meeting at Anren Hall of Qingdao International Conference Centre on 7 July.
During the meeting, both sides frankly exchanged views on enhancement of the Shwemyo PaukPhaw relations based on five priciples of the Peaceful Co-existence, cooperation in taking full security for ensuring peace and stability in border regions and implementation of relevant projects between two countries, exchange of information to combat illegal cross-border measures, eliminate online gambling and prevent narcotic drugs, increase of economic cooperation and investment between the two countries, and endeavours of holding the multiparty democratic general election successfully.
The attendees were Ms. Shen Yueyue, Vice-Chairwoman of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference and President of Good-Neighbourliness, Friendship and Cooperation Commission of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization together with Mr. Lin Wu, Secretary of Shandong Province, Mr. Zhou Naixiang, Deputy Secretary of Shandong Province and Governor, and Ms. Cui Li, Vice-President of Good-Neighbourliness, Friendship and Cooperation Commission of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization and officials.
In the evening, Myanmar delegation together with delegates to the forum was hosted dinner by the Vice-Chairwoman of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference and President of Good-Neighbourliness, Friendship and Cooperation Commission of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization at Yellow River Hall of Qingdao International Conference Centre.
