The passing out parades for 1st Batch of People’s Military Servants Training, where citizens voluntarily enlisted for training to serve national defence and security duties, were held on 28 June at the local training schools in regional military commands. Chief Ministers, commanders of regional military commands and other dignitaries attended the occasions at the following training schools
- Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman U Than Tun Oo attended the passing out parade of the 1st batch training for People’s Military Servants at local training schools in Nay Pyi Taw and delivered an honourable speech to the trainees.
- Yangon Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein attended the passing out parade of the 1st batch training for People’s Military Servants at local training schools in Yangon Region and delivered an honourable speech to trainees.
- Ayeyarwady Region Chief Minister U Tin Maung Win attended the passing out parade of the 1st batch training for People’s Military Servants at local training schools in Ayeyarwady Region and delivered an honourable speech to trainees. Then he presented cash rewards in honor to them.
- District Administration Body Char in Sagaing Region U Zaw Myo Win attended the passing out parade of the 1st batch training for People’s Military Servants in Shwebo of Sagaing Region and cordially greeted to them.
- Shan State Chief Minister U Aung Aung attended the passing out parade of the 1st batch training for People’s Military Servants in Hopone of Shan State and delivered an honourable speech to trainees. Then he presented cash rewards in honor to them.
Commandants presented awards for outstanding trainees such as model soldier award, excellence award in military parade activity, sniper soldier award, soldier’s ethics award, and mine expert award, first prize for squad maneuver, first prize for assault training and best award for kit lay-out in barrack.
Later in the evening, dinners were served to celebrate the passing out parade for 1st Batch Training of People’s Military Servants at the relevant training schools. The MWD band and mobile public relations troupes under command of the Directorate of Public Relations and Psychological Warfare performed songs to honour the ceremony.
1st Batch Training for People’s Military Servants commenced on 8 April 2024. The course covered various training modules such as physical fitness, military parade activity, theory and practice of military tactics, battlefield engineering, battlefield administration and general subjects, it is reported.
