Union Ministers Receive Head of Office of the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs in Myanmar

Union Minister for Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement Dr. Soe Win and Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs U Lwin Oo received the delegation led by Mr. Sajjad Mohammad Sajid, head of the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (UNOCHA) in Myanmar on 26 June.

• During the meeting with Union Minister for Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement, both sides cordially exchanged views on the conditions of the process to sign the letter of agreement between the Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement and the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (UNOCHA), UNOCHA foreign employees’ entry issues and travel to regions and states, promotion issues of employee performance, planning of humanitarian aid to response operations to be carried out by UNOCHA and relevant ministries to coordinate with organizations in advance.
• During the meeting with Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs, they discussed matters related to the existing and further cooperation between the Government of Myanmar and UNOCHA.

Also present were deputy ministers, permanent-secretaries and departmental officials.
