State Governments Provides Temporarily Displaced Persons with Supplies

Kachin State Chief Minister U Khet Htein Nan and party as well as Kayin State Chief Minister U Saw Myint Oo and party have been providing the camps for temporarily displaced persons with supplies. In this regard:

  • On 18 June, they provided stationery for school-aged children of temporary displaced persons at Asylum Care Training School of Shwe Set ward and Bala Min Htin monastery of Si Tar Pu ward and cash assistance to construct new buildings for temporarily displaced persons at Myanmar (Philadelphia) Pentecostal Church of Si Tar Pu ward in Myitkyina Township.
  • On 18 June, they have provided 77 rice bags and 77 packages of instant noodle for 458 people of 125 households who temporarily sheltered at the zeye thukha monastery of pauk kone ward, cash assistance of 500,000 kyats for 174 people of 42 households who temporarily sheltered at the Maha Vihararanthi monastery of Sin Gon ward, 76 rice bags for 390 people of 119 households  who temporarily sheltered at the Tharthana Linn Yaung Chi monastery of hante ward and 48 rice bags and cash assistance of Ks 1 million to buy petrol for 396 people of 114 households  who temporarily sheltered at Shan Literature and Culture in Bhamo township.
  • On 19 June, they have provided rice, instant noodle and basic foodstuffs for temporarily displaced persons in Waingmaw township.
  • On 24 June, they have provided 667 rice bags 17 pyi and edible oil 3,205 viss, 64,100 eggs for 3,205 households in Hpa-An township and rice 5 pyi, edible oil one viss, 20 eggs for 8,462 households in other six townships of Kayin state.
  • Eastern Command Commander Maj-Gen Zaw Minn Latt and party provided rice, edible oil, salt and stationeries for teachers at No.(5) Basic High School in Dawtama ward of Loikaw township, Kayah State on 25 June.

All Region and State governments have provided necessary supplies for temporarily displaced persons, it is reported.
