PDF Terrorists Open Fire on a Vehicle on Myingyan-Magyithamyar Road, killing One Monk

On 23 June, PDF terrorists opened fire on a vehicle on Myingyan-Magyithamyar Road, in Myingyan Township. Acting on the tip-off, a combined team comprising members of the Tatmadaw, Myanmar Police Force and people’s militia arrived at the scene and  found Abbot Bhaddanta Uttama of 50 (12 years of monastic life) in the vehicle with the logo of Myat Ponnya Parahita Association of Sakma village, dead with two bullet wounds and U Aung Thaung injured.

In scrutinizing the incident, Bhaddanta Uttama drove the vehicle owned by Myat Ponnya Parahita Association of the village, accompanied by U Aung Myo Thaung, and sent Ma Wint Wah Aye, who was suffering stomachache, to her father’s home on 23 June 2024. On the return to Sakhama village, the vehicle was opened fire by PDF terrorists near the scene on Myingyan-Magyithamyar road. The vehicle might be attacked wrongly as it installs roof top strode light, according to U Aung Myo Thaung who got njured.

NUG and PDF terrorists are setting fire to monasteries that do not support acts of terrorism and brutally killing monks who are serving for dispensation of Buddha Sasana for no reason. So far, their reckless attacks and brutal killing claimed the lives of 94 Buddhist monks and one nun and injured 27 monks and one nun, it is reported.
