The combined team comprising Anti-Narcotics Task Force members across the nation are putting an emphasis on seizure of narcotic drugs and drug-trafficking. In this regard:
- Acting on a tip-off, a combined team searched a Toyota Wish Wantarpon village in Kengtung township of Shan state (East) on 18 June. They seized 9.6 kg of Happy Water valued at over K1 billion in the plastic box that were carried by Aik San (aka) Aik Paung.
It is plotted to consign the drugs to Tachilek from Mongpauk. Legal action has been taken against Khin Khin Oo (aka) Si Si, who was involved in the drug transportation and Aik San (aka) Aik Paung under the law, and officials are conducting ongoing investigations to identify the chain offenders of drug-related crimes, it is reported.
